The best service is Dharma. To teach Dharma to others and to help others to learn Dharma is making them understand what’s the correct cause of happiness, and thus helping to end suffering in their lives.
YTDR helps to establish Dharma Centers throughout the world. The purpose of a Dharma Center is to inspire others to practice the path, to follow the path to liberation and enlightenment. As Sangha members, we seek to support its community in the development of awareness, compassion and peace. And as Buddhists, we consider it essential that we try to receive teachings after taking refuge, and also make a commitment ensure the welfare and growth of the Sangha. Our goal is to help establish 1,000 new Dharma Centers over the next 10 years.
Currently, YTDR has several Dharma Centers throught North and South Americas. The centers serve in the following ways:
- Permanent meditation hall and meeting facility serving and the surrounding communities.
- An organization that supports mindful living through spiritual education, community service and other activities.
- A venue for celebrations of Buddhist and other spiritual gatherings.
- A place for meetings and educational events such as retreats, classes, and workshops.
- A comfortable guest space where we can host visiting Lamas
Whether you are just beginning to explore meditation or have been practicing for years, you are welcome to join us. Please contact one of our local Dharma Centers in your area. All publicized events are open to the public.
